Position Title: Engineering Associate
Department:

Position Summary

The Engineering Associate supports engineering teams in the design, development, execution, and continuous improvement of power generation projects and products. The position provides technical support to project engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, and field service teams while developing engineering knowledge related to gas turbine, steam turbine, HRSG, and balance-of-plant systems. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills and offers exposure to multidisciplinary engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support engineering teams in the execution of power generation projects.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documents.
  • Assist in developing engineering procedures, reports, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Participate in technical reviews and design verification activities.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing engineering deliverables and customer documentation.
  • Perform engineering calculations and technical evaluations.
  • Support field service and commissioning teams with technical inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, customer specifications, and company procedures.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and productivity improvement programs.
  • Maintain project schedules and support timely completion of assigned tasks.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
Experience:
  • 0–3 years of engineering experience.
  • Internship or co-op experience preferred.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and industry standards.
  • Experience with CAD software, engineering analysis tools, or programming languages is a plus.
  • Knowledge of power generation systems is desirable.

  • VBA, Python, or data analysis experience preferred.

Position Summary

The Inspection Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring all inspection activities related to manufacturing, fabrication, testing, and project execution. The role serves as the primary interface between suppliers, inspectors, project teams, customers, and third-party agencies to ensure inspections are performed in accordance with project specifications, codes, standards, ITPs, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection Planning & Coordination:
  • Coordinate supplier, customer, owner, and third-party inspection activities.
  • Review and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans, and project specifications.
  • Schedule inspections in accordance with project milestones and production schedules.
  • Ensure Notices of Inspection (NOIs) are submitted within contractual timeframes.
  • Coordinate witness, hold, surveillance, and review points with all stakeholders.
Inspection Execution:
  • Monitor fabrication, welding, NDE, hydrotest, dimensional inspection, FAT, and final release activities.
  • Ensure inspections are conducted according to approved procedures and project requirements.
  • Support resolution of quality issues and non-conformances identified during inspections.
  • Coordinate re-inspections and closeout activities when required.
Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain inspection schedules, reports, NCRs, punch lists, and inspection records.
  • Track inspection status and provide regular progress reports to project management.
  • Ensure inspection documentation is complete and included in Manufacturing Data Books (MDBs).
  • Maintain records of certificates, calibration reports, NDE reports, and quality documents.
Quality & Compliance:
  • Verify compliance with project specifications, ASME, AWS, API, ISO, customer requirements, and applicable codes.
  • Monitor supplier compliance with approved procedures and quality requirements.
  • Assist in supplier audits, quality assessments, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned programs.
Stakeholder Communication:
  • Serve as the focal point between suppliers, inspectors, customers, and project teams.
  • Provide inspection status updates and escalate schedule risks.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and site access for inspectors when required.
  • Participate in project meetings and quality review meetings.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience:
  • 3–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, or Inspection Coordination.
  • Experience in power generation, pressure vessels, piping, structural steel, HRSG, gas turbine, steam turbine, or EPC projects preferred.
